A 38-year-old Stevenson woman was fatally injured Saturday in a single-vehicle crash on state Highway 14 east of Washougal, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A WSP bulletin said the woman, whose name was withheld pending notification of next of kin, was driving west at Milepost 21 at 2:35 p.m. when her 2013 Jeep Wrangler went off the right side of the road.

The bulletin said the driver overcorrected and lost control of the Jeep, which struck a guardrail on the opposite side of the road and overturned.

The driver, who was thrown from the vehicle, was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center but was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the bulletin.

The WSP bulletin said the woman had not been using safety restraints.
