PORTLAND — Portland Fire & Rescue says one man died and another was injured in an early morning house fire.
Flames were coming from multiple floors and multiple windows when firefighters arrived shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday. A resident who had escaped from the Northeast Portland home said there was a man still inside.
Firefighters began dousing the flames while others went inside to search for the man, but he was found dead.
One man who lives in the home was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The fire cause is under investigation.
