HILLSBORO, Ore. — Hillsboro police say they’re investigating after a man in his early 20s was shot to death in the middle of a street.
The call came in at 2:20 a.m. Sunday. A responding officer found the man down in the middle of Baseline Street. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene; police have not confirmed his identity.
The suspect fired about six shots from a handgun. He was described as a Hispanic male, 20-25, wearing a black shirt. Investigators brought in a K-9 to try to track the suspect, without success.
Police say they don’t know how the victim and suspect were acquainted. The case is being investigated by Hillsboro detectives and the Washington County Major Crimes Team.
