PORTLAND — Alaska Airlines and Icelandair have entered into a ticketing and frequent flier partnership that will offer more benefits and easier connections to Europe for passengers using Icelandair, which offers twice-weekly service between Portland and Reykjavik, Iceland.
The so-called codeshare agreement, set to go into effect Nov. 1, will provide customers flying on the two airlines with coordinated scheduling, seamless reservations and ticketing, and one-stop check-in, Alaska Airlines said in a news release.
Icelandair operates flights to Iceland from 16 cities in North America, including Portland, with connections to more than 20 destinations in Europe.
