CAMAS — Residents are invited to get an up-close look at the Camas-Washougal Fire Department on Saturday at the agency’s 15th annual open house.

The event, which is also a health and safety fair, takes place at Station 42, 4321 N.W. Parker St. in Camas, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The open house will include kitchen fire and house fire simulations, vehicle extrication and K-9 demonstrations, and a Life Flight helicopter landing, if weather permits.

Fire engines will be on display and fire investigators will be on scene to provide fire prevention information.

Members of PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center’s trauma department will be on hand for bicycle helmet fittings. Attendees are asked to bring their helmets, though there will also be helmets for sale.
