Battle Ground — Chief Umtuch Middle School is looking for Watch DOGS, and is holding a kickoff event Thursday night to discuss the program which encourages adult male role models to actively participate in their children’s education. Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students) is an international program, and several schools in the Battle Ground School District participate.

The program encourages men to volunteer one day in their child’s school. Any fathers or father figures interested in learning more about the program at Chief Umtuch are invited to a kickoff event on Thursday at Chief Umtuch Middle School, 700 N.W. Ninth St., Battle Ground, from 6 to 7 p.m.
