The Clark College baseball team got a needed boost on Friday, sweeping a doubleheader from Southwestern Oregon in the NWAC South region opener for both teams.

Clark (4-11) had lost six straight before Friday’s 11-4 and 4-3 victories played at Tigard High School.

In game one, Parker Woodley went 3 for 5 with a three-run home run and five RBI, and Marco Murillo went 3 for 4 to power the Penguins.

Eric Little pitched a nine-inning complete game, striking out 11 with two walks while scattering eight hits.
