Letter: State fails its namesake ‘Evergreen’

What in the world is going on with the standards in the state of Washington and Clark County? It is embarrassing to see all the trash along the sides of the roads, freeways and offramps.

Have we not money enough to get this garbage removed from our “Evergreen” state? What are our local governments and politicians doing to restore our state and county to its former glory? Don’t they see this mess?

It’s not just the roadside trash; it is the weeds growing in medians and along the sides of roadways. Washington was always one of the cleanest states on the West Coast. Where have we gone wrong?
