At least three of the four people injured in a head-on crash near Ridgefield on Saturday evening remained hospitalized Monday.

The driver of a Mazda 6 sedan, Morgan D. McClain, 31, of Vancouver, was listed in serious condition at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. His passenger, Tambi McClain, was in fair condition at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland.

A passenger in the other vehicle, Bonnie Quarto, 39, of Battle Ground, was listed in satisfactory condition at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. The condition of the other driver, Dennis Quarto, 60, of Battle Ground was not available.

The collision occurred at about 7 p.m. in the 4400 block of Northeast 259th Street. Sheriff’s deputies believe an eastbound Mazda 6 sedan was passing a vehicle in a no-passing zone when it crashed head-on into the Quartos’ westbound Mini Cooper.

The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office traffic detectives.
