Letter: Follow the lead of children

By Shirley Roberts, VANCOUVER
Published: December 8, 2016, 6:00am

We interrupted our trip to attend the wonderful Vancouver Symphony’s concert to fill our car’s tank.

While my husband attended to that task, I observed three youngsters perambulating along the sidewalk, obviously having a great time together. Noteworthy since the three did not share the same skin coloration. One was black, one was white and the third, a blend. Remarkable by the contrast with the “adult” racist, neo-Nazi Republicans ruining our government, i.e., of the people, by the people and for the people.

Hopefully, when they are out of power, there might be enough remnants left for people like these youngsters to rebuild what we have lost. Those of us who ask God to bless the United States should realize, by all the evidence, that he/she/it has given up on us and pays no attention to our entreaties!
