Body pulled from Willamette River

Multnomah County authorities have recovered a body from the Willamette River in Portland.

Sheriff’s deputies pulled the body from the water Monday afternoon. An identity has not yet been released.

Lt. Steve Alexander says the body was spotted by two fishermen near a wing dam by Cathedral Park.

Deputies have turned the body over to the medical examiner for an autopsy.

The case remains under investigation.
