TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Attorneys have released police dash-cam audio and video of a woman who died after being forcibly removed from a Florida hospital, and they are renewing charges of negligence against the hospital as multiple state agencies continue to investigate the case.

The video of Barbara Dawson shows the 57-year-old woman approaching a Blountstown Police Department cruiser. The audio begins when an officer arrives at Liberty-Calhoun Hospital to remove Dawson, who collapsed in the parking lot just a few feet from the patrol car after being arrested.

The Tallahassee law firm Parks & Crump is representing the family. In a Wednesday news conference that was also attended by Dawson’s family, attorney Daryl Parks said the audio shows that Dawson was in a panic, telling the officer that she couldn’t breathe.
