Vancouver — Gasoline prices in Vancouver dropped by four cents in the past week, with the average price locally for regular unleaded now at $2.36 a gallon, AAA Oregon/Idaho reported Tuesday.

Statewide, Washington’s average price per gallon is $2.41, down a nickel for the week. That’s the fifth-highest average price in the nation. Oregon’s average price is $2.27 per gallon, a seven-cent drop for the week.

The national average for regular unleaded in the AAA survey dipped three cents to $1.96 a gallon. Prices are pushing downward due to the steady drop in crude oil prices, which are now at their lowest levels in 12 years, AAA reported.
