Tel Aviv, Israel – An El Al flight from New York received an anonymous tip regarding a potential bomb onboard and was escorted by military jets over Europe, landing safely Tuesday in Israel.

El Al President David Maimon said Flight 002 from John F. Kennedy airport touched down at midday after being escorted over French and Swiss airspaces by those countries’ jets.

The threat to the Boeing 747 was found to be a false alarm.
