The Bank of America Charitable Foundation has given $20,000 to the Clark College Foundation to support a financial coach at the school.

“Assuring that a full-time financial coach remains on staff allows the college to continue providing workshops, classroom presentations and individual sessions focusing on how to budget, balance a checkbook, set long-term financial goals and understand credit cards, credit scores and loan repayments,” according to a statement issued Monday.

Clark College said that over seven months, the financial empowerment coach held 64 one-on-one sessions, 27 workshops and several specialty workshops for the Veterans Resource Center and Pathways Center.
