Letter: Wilson for Senate

The Columbian
Published: July 30, 2016, 6:00am

I’ve observed Lynda Wilson over four decades and found her to be a person of integrity, initiative and intelligence. As a student, a business owner and a community leader, Wilson has demonstrated personal excellence and natural leadership.

As state representative, Wilson has championed the values upon which she campaigned; in her candidacy for senator, I’m confident she will continue that practice. She advocated for efficient and effective government, educational excellence and job creation. Wilson understands that, as government expands, freedoms contract and interpretation of what’s best for “We the people” is held in the hands of a few with often conflicting interests.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
