A man riding his bicycle to work reported he was robbed early Saturday morning by two young men in a gold-colored car.

The robbery was reported at 4:37 a.m. in the North Garrison Heights neighborhood.

The victim told Vancouver police that he was riding in the 800 block of North Garrison Road when he was accosted by the robbers.

They stole his backpack and phone, he told officers.

The incident occurred near the C-Tran bus stop just north of the hardware store at The Mill shopping center, formerly Garrison Square, according to a police news release.

No one has been arrested. The case has been forwarded to major crimes detectives.
