Forum set on emergency preparation for businesses

The Red Cross Cascades Region is hosting a Business Resilience Forum from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. May 11 in Vancouver that will include presentations on steps that local businesses are taking to prepare for emergencies.

The two-hour session for businesses and nonprofits will offer tools to assess readiness to deal with emergencies and to engage employees in preparing for disasters. The free session is presented by Kaiser Permanente in partnership with Clark Public Utilities.

Panelists will include Amy Shlossman, chief executive officer, American Red Cross Cascades Region; Dan Krebs, director of operations, Clark Public Utilities; Kelley Okolita, director of disaster management services, Cambia Health Solutions; Scott Burns, Geology Department, Portland State University; and Tripp Robinson, emergency manager, Intel.
