OLYMPIA — Razor clam digging will be open Saturday, Sunday and Monday at Twin Harbors beach on the Washington coast.

Marine toxin tests confirm the clams are safe to eat.

Low tides will be 0.5 feet at 4:47 p.m. Saturday, 0.2 feet at 5:24 p.m. Sunday and -0.1 feet at 5:59 p.m. Monday.

Diggers had good success at Twin Harbors last weekend.

“Not only were most folks digging their limits, but they were harvesting some good-sized clams,’’ said Dan Ayres, coastal shellfish manager for the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Diggers can take 15 razor clams per day and are required to keep the first 15 dug. Each digger’s clams must be a separate container.

Long Beach remains closed to an elevated level of domoic acid, a natural marine toxin.
