OLATHE, Kan. (AP) — Authorities have charged two Missouri men in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a Kansas sheriff’s deputy.

Twenty-four-year-old William Luth and 21-year-old Brady Newman-Caddell were charged Tuesday with two counts of rape and single counts of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sodomy. They are jailed on $1 million bond. Online court records don’t list their attorneys.

The Johnson County sheriff’s office plans to hold a news conference Wednesday morning.

The department said previously that the deputy wasn’t in uniform when she was abducted late Friday from the parking lot of the detention center in Olathe, Kansas, as she headed to work. She was released about two hours later in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

Luth, of Blue Springs, and Newman-Caddell, of Independence, were arrested Monday in Missouri.
