Storms postpone I-5 ramp closures

Nighttime Interstate 5 ramp closures planned this week for exits to Ridgefield, 179th Street, Battle Ground and the Gee Creek Rest Area have been postponed because of stormy weather, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Closures of onramps and offramps in those areas were canceled for the remainder of the week.

They would have allowed WSDOT contractor Granite Construction to repair pavement as part of a 10-mile resurfacing project on the interstate between the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds and the North Fork Lewis River Bridge.

The work will be rescheduled, WSDOT said.
