We have two solid candidates running against each other for representative in the 49th Legislative District: Monica Stonier and Alishia Topper.
Monica will hit the ground running, having served previously as a state representative. Alishia is serving as a Vancouver city councilor. City council experience is not the same as having served in our state Legislature.
Monica has the strong support of a myriad of labor organizations because she has and will continue to work for the middle class. Her hands-on experience in the classroom will prove invaluable as the Legislature tackles the issue of fully funding education.
