The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said that a woman stabbed her boyfriend in self-defense at a Sifton area home Thursday night.

Deputies were called to 13809 N.E. 82nd St. about 11:50 p.m. Thursday for a report of an assault with a weapon, Sgt. Chuck Christensen said.

Walter Jordan King, 37, was reportedly at the house with his girlfriend, Laura Callen, 38, and his mother, Linda Randle, 63, both of whom are petitioners in a no-contact order with King, Christensen said.

Everything was going alright until an argument turned violent and Callen stabbed King in self-defense, Christensen said.

King was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center where he is in satisfactory condition. Christensen said that when he is well enough to leave, he will be booked into jail for suspicion of violating two no-contact orders with assault.

Christensen said that the responding deputy is not recommending charges against Callen, but added that the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office will review the case.
