Innovative Services NW opens new area for play, therapy

Central Vancouver — Innovative Services NW hosted a party on Aug. 9 to celebrate the opening of a new playground and therapeutic area, which more than doubled the size of the Early Learning play space. In the new playground, kids can interact with natural elements such as sand, water, wood and living plants. The area includes climbing logs, a sensory garden and a digging sand and water area. The party allowed kids and families to test out the new play area while enjoying some classic games, like hula hoops, bubbles and hopscotch. Innovative Services is a Vancouver-based nonprofit that works with more than 1,300 children and adults facing disabilities and disadvantages.
