Vancouver – The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce is a finalist for the 2016 Strong Communities Award, presented by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, and needs to get the most online votes to secure a $15,000 grant focused on small business and economic development projects.

Pacific Continental Bank, 101 E. Sixth St., Vancouver, submitted the chamber’s Business Resource Center for consideration to the contest. The center is a place where business owners and start-ups can get information and find resources. It also is home to Vancouver’s Small Business Assistance Program, which provides free business counseling.

Voting starts Monday and runs through Sept. 30. Votes can be cast once a day at www.fhlbforcommunity.com/voting. Vancouver is up against Honolulu and Anchorage.
