Non-league football: Eastside Catholic 26, Union 10

The two-time defending 3A state champions came to Vancouver and held off Union in a non-league football game at McKenzie Stadium.

The Titans, who trailed by two at the half, failed to score in the second half.

Keithen Shepard scored Union’s touchdown, a 57-yard pass from Lincoln Victor, that gave the Titans an early 7-0 lead.

The Crusaders scored the next two touchdowns. Then Union’s Connor Culp connected on a 42-yard FG as the half expired.

Union was thwarted by turnovers in the second half, and Eastside Catholic was able to pull away for the victory.

Tyler Folkes scored all four touchdowns for the Crusaders.
