Letter: Criticism does have merit

Letter writer Bill Peden has it backwards (“Criticism is without merit,” April 18). It is not our job to “listen in” to Jaime Herrera Beutler during her so-called telephone town hall; it’s her job to listen to us. Some 30,000 people “listening in” to Herrera Beutler isn’t a town hall — it’s a stump speech.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
