Letter:Support Orange for port

By Don Steinke, VANCOUVER
Published: August 12, 2017, 6:00am

We can’t avert catastrophic global warming if we invest new money in fossil-fuel infrastructure.

If you care about climate change, help elect Don Orange to the port commission. He opposes the oil terminal, and his opponent supports it.

Someone will appeal Gov. Inslee’s decision on the oil terminal, no matter which way he decides. Appeals will put the decision into the hands of the new port commissioners in 2018.

The lease agreement allows either party to cancel the lease at the end of each quarter if the conditions have not been met.

Protect future generations by supporting Don Orange.
