1. A Christmas concert

The holidays aren’t the same without music. So join the Sirens of the Oregon Chambers Players for a Christmas-themed concert featuring guests Michael Kissinger on clarinet and James Morgan on tuba. They play the music of Vivaldi, Telemann and others. Rebecca Olson, flute, Victoria Racz, oboe and English horn, and Maria Manzo, piano, will perform at 7 p.m. Dec. 30 at The Madeleine church, 3123 N.E. 24th Ave., Portland. The concert is free; donations will be accepted. 503-281-5777

2. Early New Year’s celebration

Who said toddlers have to miss out on New Year’s Eve? Break out the champagne — well, actually keep that tucked away. Maybe toddlers and preschoolers aren’t old enough to stay up for a midnight celebration but they can still experience the joy of a New Year’s Eve party from 11:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 30 at Noon Year’s Eve. They’ll dance and count down to noon at the Camas Public Library, 625 N.E. Fourth Ave. in Camas; free. Crafts and age-appropriate snacks will be available. 360-834-4692 or www.ci.camas.wa.us/index.php/librarykidsteens/kidsevents

3. Ring in the new year

Skamania Lodge will host a New Year’s Eve Concert and Celebration that includes local band 24/7. Tickets cost $70 per person or $130 per couple; the price includes admission, light snacks and a complimentary champagne toast. The band 24/7 has been playing music since 1992, and the group focuses on non-stop performances with highly versatile and easy to dance to music. The party runs 7 p.m. Dec. 31 to 12:30 a.m. Jan. 1 at the lodge, 1131 S.W. Skamania Lodge Way, Stevenson. 844-432-4748 or http://bit.ly/2BFu0ZO

4. A New Year’s tradition

Portland’s Pink Martini New Year’s Extravaganza returns this year bigger than ever. Pink Martini has a brand new CD, “Je Dis Oui!” that they’ll get to play tunes from, and in the general Ode to Joy tradition, the concert features the final movement of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 31 at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, 1037 S.W. Broadway, Portland; $40 to $150. NPR’s “All Things Considered” host and singer Ari Shapiro is a special guest, along with The von Trapps, and Cantor Ida Rae Cahana. The Pacific Youth Choir Alumni Singers and singers from Portland State University and Oregon Repertory Singers will perform, too. www.orsymphony.org/concerts-tickets/1718/pink-martini-new-years-extravaganza
