A man is in federal custody following a police search related to illegal possession of firearms and methamphetamine distribution by Sureño gang members, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

Officers with the Safe Streets Task Force, with the assistance of Southwest Washington Regional SWAT Team and Vancouver Police Neighborhood Response Team, served a search warrant Thursday at 5113 N.E. 31st Court.

During the search, police found convicted felon, Miguel Torres-Izazaga, who goes by the nickname “Stomper,” to be in possession of an assault rifle, shotgun and handgun. He was also found in possession of 125 grams of suspected heroin, a news release from the department states.

Police say they located evidence that suggests pounds of methamphetamine were being distributed from the residence.

Torres-Izazaga was arrested and placed in federal custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
