Missing Vancouver woman found safe

Barbara Secord, who has dementia, never made it home Thursday

A Vancouver woman who was reported missing Thursday has been located, police announced Friday afternoon.

Barbara Secord, 77, was reported missing Thursday at about 3 p.m. after she visited her ill husband in a hospital on Sunnyside Road in the Portland area, according to the Vancouver Police Department. Secord has dementia and did not make it home to Vancouver from the hospital, police said.

Police suspended the search on Friday.
