Two local soccer clubs hosting home matches July 15

Vancouver Victory play at Ridgefield, Washington Timbers women in playoffs

The Vancouver Victory of the Evergreen Premier League, is back in Clark County on Saturday, July 15, for a match against South Sound at 5 p.m. at Ridgefield Stadium.

The Victory, in third place with 18 points and a 5-3-3 record, played their last four games on the road.

Vancouver was 1-1-2 with the most recent result at 1-1 tie against Oly Town on Tuesday at The Evergreen State College.

Seattle leads the EPL with 23 points (7-1-2), with Bellingham second at 20 points (6-2-2). Vancouver has three matches remaining, while Seattle and Bellingham have four each.

Vancouver closes out its season at home against Bellingham on July 22, and against Seattle on July 29.

WASHINGTON TIMBERS — The Washington Timbers Women’s First Team of the Northwest Premier League hosts a first-round playoff match at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 15 at Harmony Sports Complex against Yakima.

The Harmony Sports Complex is located at N.E. 18th St & N.E. 192nd Ave. in Vancouver.

The Timbers (6-3-1) finished third in the nine-team standings, while Yakima (3-6-1) was the last of the six playoff clubs. The Timbers are coached by Kat Tarr, who played at Fort Vancouver and Columbia River in high school and at Missouri in college plus has seen playing time with the Portland Thorns.
