Letter: Continue to fight climate change

By Peter W. Brown, VANCOUVER

Although I deplore President Trump’s unilateral decision to leave the Paris agreement, he is but a small and sick individual who in and of himself is quite irrelevant to the noble and broad objectives of this truly universal treaty to push back the ravages we, the citizens of the whole world, have brought about.

It is with great pride, resolution and renewed dedication that I, and millions of people of all nations, religions and creeds, will now make this a personal crusade. The small steps are obvious, the larger ones will require more people, more money, more cooperation for the common good than all the wars combined, but the outcome could never have been more important.

On a national level, the first step to counter that truly psychotic idiot on the golf course, is to enlarge and have your state join the United States Climate Alliance, started by 10 states on June 1, to stand in opposition to the damage one child is trying to cause.
