Battle Ground Harvest Days Talent Show seeks musical acts from elementary, middle and high school age students to perform in the annual talent show at 1 p.m. July 15 during Battle Ground Harvest Days. Columbia River Sweet Adelines Chorus seeks women 16 and older for four-part harmony. The ability to read music is not required. Vancouver Community Concert Band seeks all brass, woodwind and percussion players, active and retired. All abilities welcome, no audition required. The volunteer community band, along with its polka band, Dixieland Jazz Band and chamber ensembles, performs regularly around the area. Amboy Territorial Days seeks submissions for its annual Photography Show, open to all ages, as part of the annual Territorial Days festivities. Ribbons will be awarded in five different subject categories– portrait, landscape/seascape, animal/plant, buildings, work/play — along with the People’s Choice Award. Participants are limited to three photographs, mounted on 8 inch by 10 inch backing. Clark County Mural Society seeks artists to participate in the 2017 Summer of Murals, which will paint large-scale murals on four walls in the Fourth Plain Corridor’s “International District.” Submissions should reflect the diverse cultural heritage of the area and its residents. There is a compensation of $3,000 per mural. Artists must submit a full colored sketch with explanation of concept, along with name, email and phone number by June 19 to info@ccmurals.org.

Friends of Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge seek submissions for its annual Refuge Photography Contest. Photographers can submit up to six nature images taken with the boundaries of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge. Prizes will be awarded to both adult and youth entries. The deadline is Sept. 5, with entries submitted online at http://prophotosupply.com/contests.

Gallery 360 seeks submissions for the July’s show “RED,” an open, non-juried show limited to one artwork per artist. The dominate color or focus must be red. Magenta Theater seeks actors for its production of “Prescription for Murder,” featuring a cast of 7. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script, English accents will be used. Metropolitan Performing Arts is hosting open call auditions for the first Star Talent Show, which will a live show held July 19 at the Kiggins Theatre. The winner or winners will receive the grand prize. Local talents of all ages and all types of performances are encouraged to sign up for an audition slot from 5 to 8 p.m. June 21 or 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 24.
