Authorities have recovered body found in Columbia Slough

Portland — A body found in the Columbia Slough on Saturday has been recovered, officials said.

Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office River Patrol Unit personnel recovered the body of a deceased adult male from the river near N. Denver Ave.

Authorities responded to a report that a boater had seen a body in the water around 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The body has not yet been identified.

A death investigation is being conducted by Sheriff’s Office detectives. The body will be turned over to the Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office.

An agency official said detectives have not indicated foul play.
