Letter: Trump has the easy solution

By Ann Donovan, VANCOUVER

President Trump has the right idea. Cut all the taxpayer-paid services for housing, medical care, food stamps, etc., for the poor, homeless, elderly and disabled. They contribute nothing, but are a severe drain on resources. The United States is better off without them.

When they die, as they surely will, so what? Fewer nobodies, old folks, disabled to drain your income. And think of this — you hard-working folks (and even those who can sit back on your big, fat portfolios) won’t have to give any kind of attention or care to your old decrepit parents or disabled children, brothers or sisters. Just make sure their life insurance is paid up to cover funeral costs and possibly a vacation for you.

The U.S. is described as a Christian nation. Our humble president has said that the Bible is his favorite book. So, when you are in your chosen house of worship on Sunday, please give thanks to your creator for a president who has, no doubt, prayed for such a miraculous solution to our poor, homeless, elderly and disabled problem. God knows after all, who needs ’em?
