Letter: Kudos to Herrera Beutler

Your editorial titled “Representative Phoning It In,” (“In Our View,” Feb. 26) struck me as hypocritical, given that if your office was inundated with screaming, swearing, paid protestors, shouting over anything you might want to say, you just might wish to communicate in a more effective manner, as our representative is attempting to do.

It’s a waste of my taxpaying money for our representative to put up with such obnoxious mob-like behavior that steals time away from the rest of the civil attendees who want a respectful discussion on the issues.

My hat’s off to the congresswoman for seeking other methods of hearing from her constituents so constructive discourse can occur.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
