1. Quilt art

It will be a rainbow of squares at the 12th annual North Clark Historical Museum Quilt Show, as local quilters of all ages display their work. Spread across two Amboy venues, visitors can find everything from traditional blankets to sculptural wall hangings on display, along with vendors and the popular Corner Cafe at the Mt. Valley Grange, 40107 N.E. 21st Ave, Amboy. Accomplished local quilter Patricia Thompson will be featured at the historical museum, 21416 N.E. 399th St., with her art quilts on display. Thompson, President of the Ridgefield Art Association, creates pieces inspired by nature, with whimsical elements and dimensional quilt panels. Thompson will give a presentation both day at 1 p.m. The show is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 25 and noon to 4 p.m. March 26. 2. Vintage veterans

Pin-ups On Tour performs a vintage-inspired variety show across the country, in support of hospitalized veterans and deployed troops. The “Operation Vancouver” show recreates the atmosphere of the 1940s Hollywood Canteen with an evening of dancing showgirls, comedy, variety acts, lounge singers, vintage candy girls and more. There will be two shows, at 4 and 9 p.m., March 25 at American Legion Post 176, 14011 N.E. 20th Ave., Vancouver. Vintage attire is encouraged, admission is free for veterans, while ticket supplies last. Tickets are $20 to $25, $35 to $50 for reserved seating. http://vancouverpinups.brownpapertickets.com

3. Last laughs

Comedians Don Frost and Lonnie Bruhn will present Laughing on Last Saturday, a night of stand-up. They will be joined by comedian Dwight Slade as the headliner. Slade was the first stand-up comedian to make an appearance at each of the three major North American comedy festivals: Aspen, Chicago and Montreal. The comedy show begins at 7:30 p.m. March 25 at the Old Liberty Theater, 115 N. Main Ave., Ridgefield. Tickets are $15. www.oldlibertytheater.com

4. Sing anew

Reprise, a new choir formed by Janet Reiter and April Duvic, will perform its debut concert, “Unforgettable.” The performance features historically significant choral pieces, from the Renaissance to Romantic period, along side complex work by contemporary composers. The concerts will be at 7:30 p.m. March 25 at Faith Baptist Church, 11208 N.E. Hazel Dell Ave., Vancouver, and 4 p.m. March 26 at St. John Presbyterian Church, 1206 N.E. Birch St., Camas. 5. Food film

The Vancouver Watersheds Alliance presents Environmental Food and Film Series, featuring a different environmental film every fourth Tuesday of the month, complete with free pizza and discussion. This month’s film, “Seed: The Untold Story,” follows the passionate seed keepers who are protecting the legacy and variety of food.
