Letter: Make impact with clean energy

I agree with Lynn Goldfarb (“Clean energy makes financial sense,” May 20, Our Readers’ Views). She had responded to a previous letter “Pay attention to climate change”(May 9) and how there is support and action to help with climate change.

We can create a clean-energy economy and change the way we live our everyday lives and make it more beneficial toward the community.

Goldfarb suggests fining fossil-fuel corporations — due to the harmful damage to the environment caused by fossil fuels — thereby, ending the use of fossil fuels.

Goldfarb also discusses “carbon dividend” checks, which is a great idea, to encourage people in the community to switch to clean energy. It could be the push we need, as a community, to make a bigger impact.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
