PORTLAND — A man was stabbed Tuesday afternoon on a MAX train in North Portland and his alleged assailant was arrested on a MAX train two stops from the attack, police said.
Officers found the stabbing victim at the Kenton/North Denver Avenue MAX station, 8399 N. Interstate Ave., after answering a 3:39 p.m. call about a fight on a train, a news release said. The man was treated at the scene, taken to a hospital and is expected to survive his wound, police said.
The suspect was aboard a southbound MAX train that stopped at the Rosa Parks Transit Station, 6598 N. Interstate Ave., and was arrested, police said.
The names of the victim and alleged assailant were not available late Tuesday afternoon.
