Hazel Dell — In preparation for winter and to thank them for their work, Clark College students received carrots, kiwi, kale, beets and pumpkins from the Hazel Dell School and Community Garden. The 12 students visited the garden on Oct. 24 with Kristen Myklelbust, Clark College’s food and Your Health professor, and Barbara Nordstrom and Bobbi Bellomy, coordinators of the garden. They not only harvested the garden, they spent the day weeding, pruning and covering growing beds to prepare them for winter and get ready for the next grow season.
