Letter: Support pool in Woodland

By Jeff Woolever, WOODLAND
Published: September 17, 2017, 6:00am

I am writing to express my full support of ballot measure No. 1 to approve a bond that will render 49 percent of the funds needed to build the Woodland YMCA pool facility to enhance the quality of life in the Woodland community.

With YMCA now involved, I am confident that this facility will soon become a reality. So confident, in fact, that my company, West Coast Training, has obligated more than $250,000 toward this project. We can dig it!

I urge my fellow citizens within the Woodland Pool and Recreation District to vote “yes” for the pool; the long-term benefits are far too important for us to give up now — we are so close to success.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
