The Clark County Sheriff’s Office identified the bicyclist struck and killed early Wednesday morning in Vancouver as Michael W. Miller on Friday night. The 55-year-old was homeless but lived in Vancouver.

The crash was reported at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 12200 block of Northeast 76th Street, a residential area of the Sifton neighborhood.

An eastbound Toyota Camry struck the bicyclist as he crossed Northeast 122nd Avenue.

The bicyclist did not have identification on him and was carrying a large load of aluminum cans, Sgt. Alex Schoening said. He was also not wearing a helmet.

Late Friday night, after relatives were notified, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office identified Miller as the deceased cyclist.

The name of the 24-year-old Vancouver woman who was driving the Camry was not released. Schoening said the investigation is ongoing and the driver was not arrested or cited at the scene.
