UPDATE: The Vancouver Police Department reported at about 5:15 p.m. that Smith returned home safe on Monday afternoon.

Vancouver police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 47-year-old man last seen leaving his home on Sunday.

Scott Smith left his home in his green 1997 Ford Ranger pickup truck, according to a Vancouver Police Department press release.

Smith may be in the Chelatchie mountain area around Cougar, police said.

The police department described Smith as a white man weighing about 200 lbs., with short gray hair and brown eyes. When he disappeared, he was wearing a blue jacket, a gray long-sleeve dress shirt, blue jeans and athletic shoes.

Anyone with information on Smith’s whereabouts should call 911.
