Daughters of American Revolution honor veterans with graveside flags

Brush Prairie — Daughters of the American Revolution put flags on veterans’ graves at Brush Prairie Cemetery on May 25 in honor of Memorial Day. Members from the Fort Vancouver chapter and their families went around the cemetery recognizing each veteran’s grave with a flag. Daughters of the American Revolution is a lineage-based membership service organization for women who directly descend from a person involved in the United States’ efforts toward independence.
