Children 18 and younger who love construction or drawing are encouraged to submit artwork for an upcoming children’s book.

The Southwest Washington Contractors Association announced Tuesday that it will take art submissions through April 13 for a book inspired by the annual Clark County event Dozer Day.

The association said artwork should follow guidelines found online at swca.org/art-contest. The goal of the book is to “inspire future generations to choose construction as a viable career option,” it said.

Dozer Day offers free rides on heavy construction equipment and will take place in May this year.
