Clark County Parks seeks volunteers, 14 and older, to help with the seventh annual Big Paddle Festival, June 1-2 at the Port of Ridgefield’s public boat launch. Help with general setup, registration, unloading/loading kayaks and canoes, and cleanup. Snacks and water provided.

Clark County Public Works seeks volunteers, 14 and older, to help with trail maintenance, 9 a.m. to noon, May 19 and June 16 at Whipple Creek Regional Park. Help clear out water bars, lay gravel on trails and trim vegetation. The work is physically demanding on uneven terrain. Tools, gloves, snacks and water provided.

Mount St. Helens Institute and Washington Trails Association invites volunteers to join a trail work party to ensure that Mount St. Helens is accessible for visitors. Conservation Corps volunteers help with trail maintenance, invasive weed removal, building upkeep and habitat restoration. Register at www.mshinstitute.org/volunteer/conservation-corps.html

Naturescaping Wildlife Botanical Gardens is looking for volunteers to help with 10 themed gardens during work parties, 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday, except on rare occasions. Prior notification is appreciated but not required. Tasks include weeding, raking, pruning, planting and shoveling. Garden coordinator apprentices are also needed for more in-depth garden work.
