Kylee Snider hit a two-run home run in the 10th inning, giving the Prairie softball team a 5-3 win over Stadium of Tacoma in the 3A bi-district semifinals Saturday.

Though Prairie lost 10-1 to Bonney Lake in the championship game, the semifinal dramatics highlighted a successful tournament for the Falcons (13-10).

Olivia Meyers pitched all 10 innings, striking out 13 while allowing just five hits and two walks.

Prairie will return to Regional Athletic Complex in Lacey for the state tournament next weekend.

Camas (18-7) is also headed to state after placing sixth in the 4A bi-district tournament in Kent.

The Papermakers started Saturday with a 4-1 win over Skyview in a loser-out game. Kennedy Ferguson struck out eight, walked none and hit a two-run home run.

Camas then punched its ticket to next weekend’s state tournament in Spokane with a 9-1 win over Enumclaw.

The Papermakers will go as the bi-district tournament’s No. 6 seed after falling to Kentwood 5-2 in the fifth-place game.
