Delta Computer Systems recently added new employees to the company. The company, at 1818 S.E. 17th St., Battle Ground, designs, manufactures and markets motion-controller products.

New hires include:

Phil Lin is the regional sales manager covering Asia Pacific with an emphasis on China. He has a background in engineering, sales, marketing and business development. He previously was employed at Intel, IBM and Sharp Electronics.

Tim Gessner was appointed as the European director of business development. He’s responsible for Delta’s sales and distribution management throughout Europe. He has more than 17 years of experience with Delta in engineering development. He has a bachelor’s degree, two master’s degrees and a doctorate degree from University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

Paul Huumala was hired as an applications engineer in the motion-control group. He has experience with robotics hardware and software. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from South Dakota State University.

Don Turrentine was hired as Delta’s IT manager. He previously owned and managed a computer business for 20 years. He has a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Thomas Aquinas College, Santa Paula, Calif.

David McNichol will be the applications engineer at Delta, working on testing products and systems. He is a Clark County native and received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Washington State University Vancouver.

Aaron Heinrich is the marketing manager. He was previously employed with nLIGHT Photonics Corp. in Vancouver. He has a bachelor’s degree in physics from Walla Walla University and is a licensed private pilot.

Wade Nylund was hired as an applications engineer. He previously worked as a senior tooling engineer at Microsoft. He also has experience as a mechanical procurement engineer at Hewlett-Packard. Nylund has a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering technology from Western Washington University.

Paula McCoy was elected as the newest member of the Washington Association of School Business Officials board of directors. McCoy is Ridgefield School District’s executive director of business services. On the board, she will serve as director and member-at-large for WASBO’s southwest region, replacing Larry Mayfield, the business director at Washougal School District. She was previously employed by the Washington State Auditor’s Office as assistant audit manager for three years and assistant state auditor for seven years before joining the school district in 2015. She received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Western Washington University and is a certified fraud examiner.
