Vancouver Mall — The Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools received an $8,000 donation from the Heathman Lodge Helping Hands Charity Golf Tournament, which will help address urgent needs of students in all Vancouver Public Schools. “Almost half of the students in Vancouver Public Schools are impacted by poverty, and they are present in all 37 Vancouver schools and programs,” Nada Wheelock, executive director of the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools, said in a release. “Many students face significant challenges in their daily lives.” This was the second year Helping Hands hosted a golf tournament to benefit the foundation. The Heathman Helping Hands 3rd Annual Golf Tournament to raise funds for the foundation is scheduled for Aug. 20, 2019, at Camas Meadows Golf Club, 4105 N.W. Camas Meadows Drive, Camas.
